4 Birth Centers In Raleigh For The Birth Journey Of Your Dreams

When you are planning your delivery, it’s safe to say you want options. Every parent has their own style, and a cookie-cutter approach to your delivery is just not going to work. If you are looking for a natural approach but would prefer to avoid a home birth, birth centers in Raleigh might be your ideal choice. With this, you will actually have two options. If you choose a freestanding birth center, you will have several birthing tools, including tubs. You will be able to move around and have a low-intervention delivery aided only by midwives.

Once your baby is born, you will get the chance to head home and recover in your nice, warm bed! There are also hospital birthing centers where they will take a non-emergency approach to your delivery while still having all the necessary tools in case you change your mind about unmedicated labor. Both midwives and OB-GYNs are on-site. As a Raleigh newborn photographer, I have gotten the chance to connect with moms who have had different experiences with each. If you are searching for a Raleigh birth center, here are four things you need to know about!

These Incredible Birth Centers In Raleigh Will Provide The Birth Experience Of Your Dreams

Haven Women's Health

226 Ashville Ave, Suite 20, Cary, North Carolina 27518

Haven Women’s Health and Birth Center is a freestanding Raleigh birth center that will put your experience at the center of their work. This is one of the newest birth centers in the area, opening in 2024. Nonetheless, they have quickly gone to work making a difference to women all across the area. They have everything you need for your low intervention birth including spacious tubs and warm beds. The modern, gorgeous decor is just another perk!

REX

4420 Lake Boone Trail, Raleigh, North Carolina 27607

Birth Center at REX is a hospital-operated birth center that still offers holistic options for your Raleigh delivery. This is one of my favorite recommendations for people who want to try a natural birth but could use a little reassurance! You are more than welcome to bring a doula for your delivery. They offer private tubs and showers and have wireless fetal monitoring so you can move around as much as you need.

Duke Birthing Center

2301 Erwin Road, Durham, North Carolina 27710

Over the years, DukeHealth has become a leader in Raleigh healthcare, and the Duke Birthing Center is no exception! You are going to be able to take charge of your delivery, so it’s everything you want it to be. They offer childbirth classes that will get you prepared for any style you’d prefer. You can choose to have a private whirlpool in your room for your labor.

Pregnancy and Childbirth | WakeMed

3000 New Bern Ave, Raleigh, North Carolina 27610

WakeMed offers a newly renovated space within their Cary Hospital location. Throughout your birth, you are going to have access to cozy amenities including soaker tubs. They will make sure you have plenty of chances to bond with your baby throughout your stay here. You will also have access to a Level III NICU should you need it.
