In-Home Family Session Ideas

Home is where the heart of your family is. There is truly no place like home! This is where most of your memories are made together as a family, which is exactly why I believe, as a Raleigh, NC Family Photographer, that there cannot be any where more special than having your family session in your very own home. Here, I will preserve the magic of your every day lives for you to look back on when your kids graduate Kindergarden, move out of the house for college, get married, have their own children, and so much more.

My Top 10 In Home Family Session Ideas

Here are some of my favorite ideas for your in-home family session!

1. Baking

My favorite part about baking is that it can turn into a flour fight! I garauntee it is 100% worth the mess!

2. PJ Party in Bed

Do you guys love spending Saturday mornings in bed together?

3. Sink Bath

This is one of my favorite ways to end a session if you have little ones!

4. Saying Good-Bye to Home

This is such a special reason to have in-home photos. In fact, this is the precise reason why I got in-home family photos the first time!

5. Bath Time

Does your bathroom have amazing light and do your little ones love taking a bubble bath? Well then let’s do it!!

6. Playing Music

Does your family cherish singing or playing music together? That is such an intimate way to spend time together and a memory that I want to preserve for you to look back on forever.

7. Playing Together

Do your girls love playing dolls together or do they enjoy playing make-up? What is something special that you do together? No matter how mundane it may seem, it is the little things that you will want to hold on to forever.

8. Eating Together

Something as simple as preparing strawberries together in the kitchen island is worth remembering forever.

9. Jumping On The Bed

This is the best way thing to do mid-session with littles when they need to get some energy out!

10. Dance Party!

Does your family have a special song you love dancing to? Well then let’s blast it over the speaker and dance like no one is watching (or photographing you!)
