Mother’s day gift ideas

Mother’s Day is around the corner! And if you’re anything like me, you’re busy with little ones and work and you cannot even believe that it’s almost May! So, I’m sharing a few of my favorite Mother’s Day gift ideas!

  1. Motherhood photo session

There is truly no. better. gift. to yourself, as a mom, than to capture the love and beautiful connection between you and your little ones than you have a professional photographer preserve this season forever through photos. I know I don’t need to tell you twice, but this season of motherhood is fleeting. Those sweet little hands and toes you held when they were first born are not what they once were..and what they are today won’t be the same tomorrow. So, whether you choose me or another photographer, don’t hesitate in scheduling your session. I guarantee this is a gift that will only get more valuable with time; there won’t be anything more you cherish in 10, 20, and 30 years from now than the photos you invest in now.

Another special thing to consider for this Mother’s day, is a photography session is also a special gift to give to grandparents. I don’t know about you, but my parents and my in-laws treasure photos with their grandchildren more than anything else. So why not give them the gift of getting professional photos of them loving on their grand babies? I know I’m biased, but honestly can’t think of anything better than that!

2. Children’s birth flower sweatshirt

Okay, so this is such a unique mother’s day gift idea that I’m so excited to share about! My best friend from childhood custom designs birth flowers into a bouquet then embroiders it onto sweatshirts. And let me tell you, they’re gorgeous!! I truly do not own a piece of clothing that is even near as special as my crewneck with my babies’ birth flowers designed into a bouquet with each of their names put on my sleeve. Gosh I love it so much. There are also other designs you can get customized and there each so unique and special. You can find Baby Blooms Clothing Co here.

Seeing my babies’ birth flowers and their names embroidered on my sweatshirt is the most special thing.

3. Tiny tags necklace

My husband has gifted me (honestly, with a lot of β€œhints” from me haha) to get a personalized tag for each of my children. Apart from my wedding rings, it’s the most special piece of jewelry that I wear every day. As a CRNA, I can’t wear much anyway, but it’s never ceases to amaze me that almost daily someone asks me about my Tiny Tags necklace!! It’s so special because you can completely personalize it. I chose to get my their birthdays on the back, but I’ve seen some people get their little one’s birth weight on the back, which I also love!

Best part?! Tiny Tags is offering 20% through Sunday April 23 with discount MOMDAY

I wear my 3 tiny tags every single day.

Literally I won’t go out of the house without my tiny tags necklace on! I get more compliments on my Tiny Tags necklace than anything else!

4. Spa massage

This is always a winner in my book! We work SO. HARD. as mamas! We’re always lifting up our babies when they’re hurt, down on the floor wiping up spilled milk or bending over changing the 10th diaper of the day. It’s a lot. And it’s never ending!! That’s why our bodies deserve the gift of at least a 60 minute massage every once in a while. Even better is a whole entire day at the spa!

Need a recommendation? Spa 4109 is my top rec here in Lynchburg, VA!

5. Monthly wine club

Talk about a gift that keeps on giving!! Through Vinowine Club Reserve, you can be gifted 3 wine bottles every one, two or three months! But I mean, who wouldn’t want 3 of the best Virginia wines every month?!

Okay, so I know this is super biased, but I’ve had wine from all over the US - NC, NY, VA, CA, and honestly VA has my absolute favorite wine. I lived in Charlottesville for a couple years a while ago and had the privilege of wine tasting all over! Oh my goodness, nothing compares! If you want to give a unique Mother’s Day gift, this is definitely something different and fun! If you’re reading this Timothy, go ahead and sign me up for this :)
